While important, change management on it's own is limiting.  

Leaders are the ones who need to step into this new way of thinking and being first. They are the engine that drives the whole process.

Prior to consulting, I held progressively senior roles in health care organizations.  It was as Director of Communications for the Central Regional Health Board (now Capital Health) and a member of its senior team during the early days of health care reform that I was first introduced to organizational change management.

My interest was piqued. 

I then had the opportunity to join Maritime Life with the sole focus of supporting them through the acquisition of Aetna Canada, a move that would double their size and presence in the marketplace and create a ton of growth opportunities.

My interest in focusing on people and change intensified.

I started my consulting practice in 2003.  I have since helped numerous leaders and employees navigate through complex changes stemming from mergers and acquisitions, new brands and strategic directions, and changes to service delivery models.

A key focus of my practice is supporting clients to design and lead change - from strategy through to communication and action.  I am among the few Canadians who have participated in an intensive course,  Designing and Leading Change, through The Grove Consultants International in San Francisco, where I was schooled in graphic facilitation.

I bring to each change project a unique perspective in organizational health.  I was involved with an initiative of the Metro Halifax Chamber of Commerce, the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia and Capital Health which set out to demonstrate that organizational health is a key driver of business success.  

My accreditation from the International Association of Business Communicators (ABC) recognizes my ability to align strategies with business goals and deliver on them in a way that is meaningful to stakeholders and yields bottom-line results.  

I am an associate with Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette, where I support clients to navigate through the uncertainty of change and build stronger, more resilient organizations.

I am a proud member of 100 Women Who Care Halifax, a former Big Sister and board member, and volunteer for local organizations and initiatives.
